Digital PCR

Digital PCR (dPCR) is an absolute quantification technology for nucleic acid molecules. It distributes samples into tens of thousands of micro-reaction units for amplification, collects the proportion of positive units through fluorescence signals, and calculates the target concentration based on the Poisson distribution principle. It does not require a standard curve and features high sensitivity and accuracy. It is widely used in medical testing and other fields.

The Ruby Chip is a consumable used with Aegaeon^® Digital PCR System. The Ruby Chip is intended to partition nucleic acid samples and to contain the partitioned samples on the chip for amplification and detection of nucleic acids. Partitioning is performed by generating waterin-oil droplets.
