Researchers at the Vienna Veterinary University conducted a retrospective study to evaluate the presence and correlation of the equine parvovirus EqPV-H in the liver of horses and donkeys with histopathological abnormalities other than Tiller's disease. The researchers hope to confirm whether the newly discovered EqPV-H will lead to other liver diseases and further analyze the infection pattern of the EqPV-H virus through the infection status of EqPV-H.

Highlights:

1. Through retrospective studies using new technologies and analyzing previously collected samples, it was found that EqPV-H virus may be associated with tumor diseases.

2. With naica ® The direct absolute quantification and high tolerance to inhibitors of the droplet chip digital PCR system enable rapid and efficient copy number detection to determine the viral content in tissue samples.

3. The detection of virus content in different parts further confirms the hepatotropism of EqPV-H virus and its potential for chronic infection.
